NQF Seeking Comments on Serious Reportable Inclusion Criteria, and Call for Candidate Events

With funding from CMS, the National Quality Forum (NQF) is now accepting public comments on the proposed draft 2024 inclusion criteria that will be used to determine a Serious Reportable Event (SRE). Additionally, NQF is soliciting a call for candidate SREs. The updated criteria will serve as the basis for considering revisions to the SRE List, which NQF will publish later this year. This updated list will reflect evolutions in health care delivery and foster alignment of disparate definitions and terminologies used when interpreting harm events and subsequent reporting adherence.
