Please be advised that the CMS PECOS PI and AI applications in the Production (PROD) environment will not be available beginning at 09:00 PM EST 04/04/2025 to 02:00 PM EST on Saturday, 04/05/2025 due to the R7.53.0 code deployment.

_The following PECOS PI enhancements are included in this release:_


* Updates to remove PD02-Cochlear Implant from Accredited Product list in PECOS PI.
* Updates to the email notifications sent for electronic signatures to make the PIN information prominent for 855A, 855B, 855I, 855S, 855O and MDPP form types.
* Updates to restrict access to sensitive documentation to all users including the user that uploaded the document including the Bank Waiver Letter, Financial/Bank Account Statement, Voided Check/Account Verification, Form CMS-588, and Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) Authorization Agreement in PECOS PI.
* Updates to add warning messages to in-progress applications to ensure users are aware that modifying or removing data on an application that is in progress will overwrite existing saved data in PECOS PI.
* Updates to collect the Provider Based Practice Locations for 855A applications. This information will be sent to FISS in the FISS extract file in Child Record 04. Providers and MACs will have the ability to select the Provider Based Department Site Information in Physical Location and “Special Payments” Address topic. The Provider Based Department site and Provider Based Department type are applied to a Practice Location record and extracted to FISS to indicate that the Practice Location is a Provider Based Location.
* Updates to display a list of Deactivated/Revoked Enrollments in the "Existing Enrollments" section of the My Enrollments Page along with their Deactivated/Revocation Reason and Date.
* Updates to the “Required and/or Supporting Documents” section for all certified providers to show additional required documents for the below supplier types in 855A and 855B forms:

End-Stage Renal Disease Facilities
Federal Qualified Health Centers

 _The following PECOS AI enhancements are included in this release:_


* Updates to remove PD02-Cochlear Implant from Accredited Product list in PECOS AI.
* Updates to PECOS to make the Fraud and Abuse Index of Risk (FAIR) Code for DME suppliers a recommended field rather than required.
* Updates to reflect the newly approved FORM CMS-R263. Changes will be available to users when CMS enables the changes in the system.
* Updates to collect the Provider Based Practice Locations for 855A applications. This information will be sent to FISS in the FISS extract file in Child Record 04. Providers and MACs will have the ability to select the Provider Based Department Site Information in Physical Location and “Special Payments” Address topic. The Provider Based Department site and Provider Based Department type are applied to a Practice Location record and extracted to FISS to indicate that the Practice Location is a Provider Based Location.
