*02/07/2025 - Splunk Prod - Resize the Splunk Prod instances from 54 x 24XL's to 48 x 24XL's*

*Summary:*

The CMS Hybrid Cloud team will scale down Splunk indexer infrastructure as part of post Open Enrollment (OE) resizing. We will scale down in groups of six indexers starting on 2/7 thru 2/10. We will fit in as many groups as we can in the change window.  

*Actions we are taking:*


* Downscaling Splunk indexers.
* Splunk and ITSI will be placed in maintenance mode during each downscale event..

*When is this happening?*

Start Time: Friday, 02/07/2025 at 6:00 pm ET
End Time: Sunday, 02/10/2025 at 6:00 am ET

*Who will be impacted?*
DRaaS ITSI, MITG MSI and EMM may have performance impacts when the Cloud Splunk indexers are being configured. Also, CCIC search heads peered to the Splunk environment might be impacted.

*What is the impact?*
There will be latency in ad hoc searches that are performed by customers. Dashboards might also render slowly and have incomplete results while the changes are being propagated.

*Benefits of the change;*
This is part of OE12 close out tasks

02/09/2025 - Marketplace SSM patching - PROD

*Summary:*


* Marketplace PROD
* SSM Linux & Windows Vulnerability Patching

*Actions we are taking: *

As part of our normal patching, the CMS Hybrid Cloud team will apply the latest Windows and Linux patches on Wednesday, 02/09/2025 at 12:00 a.m. ET.  The week's patches will impact the PROD environment for the affected Marketplace applications noted below.

*When is this happening?*

Start Time: Sunday, 02/09/2025 at 12:00 a.m. ET

End Time:  Sunday, 02/09/2025 at 4:00 a.m ET

*Who will be impacted? *

FFM_Opera, XES - CyberArk, OCEAN, VAMS, TWS, XES - XOC Tools, SERVIS, FFM_Shared_Services, FFM MLMS, XES - MSI Tech Lab, FFM_FM, FFM_TWS, FFM_PM, XES - Service Virtualization

DSRS, FFM, FFM DSH, FFM EDI, FFM EFT, FFM ESDCU, MCR, FLH, OC Base- FLH, OC Base PET

*What is the impact?* 

Patches will be transmitted to the affected areas. For some customers, reboots may occur depending upon the tags applied.
