In a post [ https://blog.dol.gov/2024/09/30/advancing-access-to-good-jobs-for-all ] published on the U.S. Department of Labor blog, ODEP Assistant Secretary Taryn Williams affirms the importance of ensuring disabled workers have full access to prepare for and succeed in good jobs—including the millions of good jobs being generated by the Biden-Harris Administration’s historic investments in our nation’s infrastructure.

The post helped kick off National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) [ http://www.dol.gov/ndeam ], which takes place each October. Organizations of all sizes and in all industries are encouraged to participate in NDEAM, and ODEP offers a variety of resources to help, including this year’s official poster, which is available in both English [ https://www.dol.gov/sites/dolgov/files/ODEP/NDEAM/508_2024_NDEAM%20Posters_english.pdf ] and Spanish [ https://www.dol.gov/agencies/odep/initiatives/ndeam/spanish ]. This year’s poster is also customizable [ https://www.dol.gov/sites/dolgov/files/ODEP/NDEAM/508_2024_NDEAM%20Posters_english-Customized.pdf ], so organizations can insert their name or logo and, if desired, different photos (please note that it is important to obtain consent if using someone’s photo for this purpose).
