ATLANTA – The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its strategic partnerships with Holder Construction Group LLC – collaborations that have significantly improved worker safety and health. Since 2005, these partnerships have focused on reducing injuries, illnesses, and exposure to hazards, while expanding safety training, and promoting strong safety and health programs. The collaboration with Holder supports OSHA’s long-range efforts to foster cooperative safety management between contractors and the federal government. In addition to its partnership with OSHA, Holder Construction demonstrates a strong commitment to workplace safety by supporting national initiatives like OSHA’s Fall Stand-Down and Safe + Sound campaigns, and actively participating in the Georgia Struck-by Alliance and Stand-Down, which has trained over 140,000 workers. The company also supports the Georgia Mental Health Alliance through donations of services and supplies, invites OSHA to conduct verification audits at partnership sites, and engages OSHA compliance assistance specialists to speak with more than 100 safety professionals during its annual Safety Day.OSHA’s first strategic partnership agreement with Holder Construction was signed May 26, 2005, for work at the Maynard Holbrook Jackson Jr. International Terminal at the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. Since then, partnerships have extended to other major projects including the State Farm Arena, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, and Trilith LIVE!.Holder has trained nearly 40,000 workers in the Southeast, including thousands from construction industry contractors. The company has also offered free OSHA 10-hour training to hundreds of high school students, helping to prepare the next generation of safety-minded construction professionals. OSHA’s Strategic Partnership Program engages employers, workers, and industry groups to achieve measurable improvements in workplace safety and health.Learn more about OSHA. body { font-size: 1em; font-family: Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; color: #333333; }
