* We are providing updated Version 42 Medicare Severity Diagnosis Related Group (MS-DRG) Grouper and Medicare Code Editor (MCE) MAINFRAME and PC Software. We are also providing updated Version 42 Java Source Code and Reference Implementation Binaries.

In this update, the method of counting single spinal fusions has been corrected, affecting MS-DRG 402 (Single Level Combined Anterior and Posterior Spinal Fusion Except Cervical) and MS-DRGs 426, 427, and 428 (Multiple Level Combined Anterior and Posterior Spinal Fusion Except Cervical with MCC, with CC, and without CC/MCC, respectively).

* October 11, 2024 is the deadline for receipt of public comments on proposed new codes, addenda, and revisions being considered for implementation on April 1, 2025.
* November 15, 2024 is the deadline for receipt of public comments on proposed new codes, addenda, and revisions being considered for implementation on October 1, 2025.
