As trusted partners in the community, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is asking for your assistance in sharing important information with DACA recipients who are able to enroll in health coverage through the Affordable Care Act (ACA) Health Insurance Marketplace® for the first-time starting November 1, 2024.
*_Coverage Starting December 1, 2024_*
DACA recipients who meet the eligibility criteria for coverage qualify for a 60-day Special Enrollment Period (SEP) to select and enroll in a health plan through the Marketplace at HealthCare.gov [ https://click-1185304.icptrack.com/icp/relay.php?r=65887666&msgid=585336&act=Z2A0&c=1185304&pid=2122377&destination=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.healthcare.gov%2F&cf=6316&v=1ab816dc5d6956e3fbeb2a7d863c254baab404d249898ee2cc26ccd4cf2b072e ].
*Eligible DACA recipients who want 2024 coverage must select a plan by November 30, 2024, to have coverage that begins on December 1, 2024.*
*_Coverage Starting in 2025_*
DACA recipients who need health care coverage in 2025 should enroll during Health Insurance Marketplace® Open Enrollment, which runs from November 1, 2024 – January 15, 2025, on HealthCare.gov [ https://click-1185304.icptrack.com/icp/relay.php?r=65887666&msgid=585336&act=Z2A0&c=1185304&pid=2122377&destination=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.healthcare.gov%2F&cf=6316&v=1ab816dc5d6956e3fbeb2a7d863c254baab404d249898ee2cc26ccd4cf2b072e ]. People who want health coverage starting January 1, 2025, should enroll for coverage by December 15, 2024. Consumers must enroll by January 15, 2025, to have coverage that starts on February 1, 2025.
