12/08/2024 - Enterprise Testing Services Maintenance

*Summary*

In order to keep up to date with the latest versions and security advisories, the CMS Cloud team will be performing maintenance updates on Enterprise Testing tools.

*Actions we are taking*


* Update Selenium Box Hub and Executors with the latest Amazon Linux 2023 Gold Image for CMS Cloud.
* Upgrade Selenium Box to the latest version.

*When is this happening?*

Start time: Sunday 12/08/2024 at 9:00 a.m. ET

End time: Sunday 12/08/2024 at 11:59 a.m. ET

*Who will be impacted?*

All AWS Commercial and GovCloud customers of Selenium Box.

*What is the impact? *

Customers should expect downtime for the service as instances are restarted within the maintenance window.

12/08/2024 - Splunk HTTP Event Collector (HEC) Maintenance

*Summary*

In order to keep the logging environment performing well, the CMS Cloud team will conduct maintenance on the Cloud instances of the Http Event Collector (HEC) infrastructure this Sunday, December 8th.

*Actions we are taking*


* Restart Production HEC Servers in a round robin pattern.

*When is this happening?*

Start Time: Sunday, 12/08/2024 at 9:00 a.m. ET
End Time: Sunday, 12/08/2024 at 12:00 p.m. ET

*Who will be impacted?*

Customers will not be impacted by this change.  

*What is the impact? *

Restart Production HEC Servers. There should be no downtime or data loss experienced during the restarts.

12/10/2024 - Update to AWS Security Hub Standard - Shared Service Accounts

*Summary*

In order to maintain a secured environment, the CMS Cloud team will update AWS Security Hub NIST Standards to the latest revision on Tuesday, 12/10/2024.

*Actions we are taking*

Update AWS Security Hub NIST Standard for GSS Accounts only. 

*When is this happening?*

Start Time: Tuesday, 12/10/2024 at 12:00 p.m. ET
End Time: Tuesday, 12/10/2024 at 4:00 p.m. ET

*Who will be impacted?*

Non-Marketplace Shared Service customer accounts will be updated with the new NIST standards.

*What is the impact? *

Customers may observe more / additional Security Hub findings.

*Benefits of the change *

Improved security

*Reminder - Open Enrollment (OE12) - Moratorium*

*Summary*

To help ensure that we maintain good system performance and stability during CMS Healthcare Open Enrollment, an annual Moratorium period has been established to shift the scheduling of production system changes into a designated weekly maintenance windows which occurs on most Sundays.

Start time: Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 12:00 a.m. ET

*Maintenance Windows: *Sunday 12:00 a.m. ET – 12:00 p.m. ET **


* December 1, 8, 22, 29 

*Embargo Weekend 2: D**ecember  14, 15*


* No planned down-time – all Marketplace systems should be available
* No infrastructure changes should be implemented

*Who will be impacted?*

Any Hybrid Cloud IT Operations team planning to make a change to a system supporting the CMS Healthcare Marketplace either directly or indirectly.
