1*/5/2025 - Stop Indexer Scheduled for AWS Maintenance - PROD*
*Summary*
The indexer cluster will be put into maintenance. One indexer will be stopped. The indexer cluster will be taken out of maintenance and then backend fix-up tasks will be monitored.
*Actions we are taking: *
As part of Standard procedure, the CMS Cloud team cluster will be put into maintenance and one indexer will be stopped. This won't impact overall indexer cluster performance. When the single indexer is stopped it may impact searches executing at that time, however, the search heads will redirect to other indexers where copies of the data is stored.
*When is this happening?*
Start Time: Sunday, 1/5/2025 at 12:00 a.m. ET
End Time: Sunday, 1/5/2025 at 6:00 a.m. ET

*1*/5/2025 - Add more CCIC Indexes for OneSplunk in Splunk-DC environment**
*Summary*
CCIC requires these new indexes to store OneSplunk data in Splunk.
*Actions we are taking: *
As part of normal procedure, CMS Cloud team will be adding new indexes to the Splunk-DC indexer cluster to support CCIC data ingestion for OneSplunk. If a rolling restart occurs as a result of adding the new index, search performance will be degraded for end users while the cluster is performing the fixup cycle.
*When is this happening?*
Start Time: Sunday, 1/5/2025 at 9:00 a.m. ET
End Time: Sunday, 1/5/2025 at 12:00 p.m. ET
