Connecting Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) Recipients to Health Coverage: A Toolkit for Partners

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has released a new toolkit [ https://click-1185304.icptrack.com/icp/relay.php?r=65887666&msgid=584333&act=Z2A0&c=1185304&pid=2121444&destination=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.cms.gov%2Ffiles%2Fdocument%2Fdaca-toolkit.pdf&cf=6316&v=9734ca4240275af5e5b859022b7f3814cb6611bd74c0bc363553e72d22d26411 ] to help partners share information with DACA recipients who will be able to enroll in health coverage through the Affordable Care Act (ACA) Health Insurance Marketplace ® for the first time starting November 1, 2024. DACA recipients who meet the eligibility criteria for coverage will qualify for a 60-day Special Enrollment Period (SEP) to select and enroll in a health plan through the Marketplace. Eligible DACA recipients who want 2024 coverage should select a plan by November 30, 2024, to have coverage that begins on December 1, 2024. DACA recipients who need 2025 coverage should enroll during Open Enrollment, which runs from November 1, 2024 – January 15, 2025 on HealthCare.gov [ https://click-1185304.icptrack.com/icp/relay.php?r=65887666&msgid=584333&act=Z2A0&c=1185304&pid=2121444&destination=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.healthcare.gov%2F&cf=6316&v=1ab816dc5d6956e3fbeb2a7d863c254baab404d249898ee2cc26ccd4cf2b072e ].
