*Women and wealth *

*Women’s retirement security* 

A new blog explains how employers and policymakers can contribute to women’s retirement security [ https://blog.dol.gov/2025/01/13/how-to-improve-womens-retirement-security-in-2025 ], closing with suggestions for working women themselves.

*The gender wage gap* 

Two new blogs examine the gender wage gap for women 55+ by looking at variations by race and ethnicity [ https://blog.dol.gov/2024/12/19/no-golden-years-the-wage-gap-for-older-women-of-color ] and variations based on geography [ https://blog.dol.gov/2025/01/08/from-coast-to-coast-the-gender-wage-gap-is-worse-for-older-women ]. 

And we reviewed progress on closing the gender wage gap [ https://blog.dol.gov/2025/01/13/the-gender-wage-gap-16-years-after-the-ledbetter-act ] since the signing of the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act 16 years ago.
